CONCEALED WEAPON LICENSES
Legislation passed in 2014 created a partnership between the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and Florida's tax collectors. The Concealed Weapon Intake System (CWIS) provides an opportunity for you to complete and submit your application or renewal in person on the 1st floor of the Lee County Tax Collector’s office, 2480 Thompson St, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
A Streamlined Process
In addition to the convenience, the CWIS streamlines the screening and review process, thereby reducing the time it takes FDACS to issue a license once the electronic package arrives in Tallahassee.
Scheduling an Appointment
All applicants are required to schedule an appointment for any CWIS related service. Schedule an appointment online or contact our office at 239.533.6073.
