Free fishing days provide the perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to try fishing for the first time – or for experienced anglers who simply don’t have a license. It’s also a great chance for someone with a license to bring a friend or family member along to show them how to enjoy this classic, relaxing pastime. 

If you’re interested in taking advantage of Florida’s license-free fishing days, below are the dates you are able to get out on the water:

License-free freshwater days

• First consecutive Saturday and Sunday in April
• Second consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June

License-free saltwater days

• First consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June
• First Saturday in September
• Saturday following Thanksgiving
